The article provides a breakdown of the rocks in the Hodjikik field during the
development. The most important factors for determining the stability of rocks at upper and upper
walls of the mining operations are listed below. The relevance of the problem, some features of
hydrogeological and engineering-geological processes caused by natural and man-made conditions
during the extraction of minerals (on the example of the Khojadyk tungsten deposit) are
considered. The research methodology included studying not only the location of the falls
(collapses), but also the sections adjacent to the collapse, since the flow of groundwater with
active springs plays an important role in their formation. The features of the development of
strength and deformation properties of mountain massifs during the formation of landslide
collapses leading to changes in mining and technical conditions of deposits are studied. The
regularities of the formation and spread of engineering-geological processes in horizontal and
inclined mine workings are revealed: the most common types of deformations are collapse,
dislocations, scree (with rockfalls) of rocks.
