Shekspirning “Hamlet”, “Otello” va “Romeo va Julietta” kabi mashhur tragediyalaridagi ramziy obrazlar tahlil qilinib, gullar va o‘simliklar orqali qahramonlarning ruhiy iztiroblari, motam va xotira kayfiyatlari, hayotning o‘tkinchiligi hamda insoniy tuyg‘ularning murakkab psixologik qatlamlari ochib berildi. Solishtirma-tahliliy metod asosida ushbu asarlarda uchraydigan gul ramzlari poetik funksiyasi, ularning madaniykontekstual ildizlari va estetik qiymati o‘rganildi. Xususan, “Hamlet”dagi Ofeliya timsolining ruhiy tanazzuli jarayonida tarqatilgan xayoliy gullar, “Otello”dagi Dezdemona kuylagan “Tol qo‘shig‘i”, shuningdek, “Romeo va Julietta” tragediyasida to‘y va motam sahnalarining gul obrazlari bilan uyg‘unlashuvi batafsil yoritildi. Maqola Shekspir ijodidagi tabiat obrazlarining ma’nodoshlik tizimi va ularning dramatik voqealar bilan semantik uyg‘unligini ilmiy asosda ochib berdi. This article undertakes a comprehensive linguistic and poetic analysis of the symbolic and cultural–functional significance of floral and botanical imagery in the artistic representation of death and loss within English literature. The focus of the research is William Shakespeare’s renowned tragedies–Hamlet, Othello, and Romeo and Juliet–in which flowers and plants acquire a profound symbolic role, serving as a poetic medium to reveal psychological anguish, grief, memory, and the transient nature of human life. By employing comparative and analytical methods, the study systematically examines the poetic function of floral symbols, their cultural and intertextual foundations, and their aesthetic value in dramatic composition. Particular attention is given to Ophelia’s descent into madness and her symbolic distribution of imaginary flowers in Hamlet, Desdemona’s mournful “Willow Song” in Othello, and the interlacing of nuptial and funerary imagery in Romeo and Juliet, where floral motifs underscore themes of tragedy and destiny. The article demonstrates that Shakespeare’s use of nature-related symbols extends beyond decorative imagery, functioning as a linguistic and cultural code through which psychological depth and philosophical reflections on life and death are expressed. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of Shakespearean poetics, emphasizing the interplay between symbolic language, cultural tradition, and narrative structure. Furthermore, this research lays a theoretical foundation for subsequent scholarly inquiries into the role of symbolic imagery in English literature, providing a methodological framework for comparative studies of floral motifs in various cultural contexts. Thus, the article represents both a detailed textual interpretation and a broader contribution to literary semiotics and cultural linguistics.

Данная статья посвящена комплексному лингвопоэтическому анализу символического и культурнофункционального значения флористических образов в художественном выражении тем смерти и утраты в английской литературе. В центре исследования находятся знаменитые трагедии Уильяма Шекспира — Гамлет, Отелло и Ромео и Джульетта, где цветы и растения приобретают глубокий семантический потенциал, выступая средством раскрытия психологических переживаний, скорби, памяти и идеи бренности человеческой жизни. С использованием сравнительно-аналитического метода в статье системно рассматриваются поэтические функции флористических символов, их культурные и интертекстуальные корни, а также эстетическая ценность в структуре драматического произведения. Особое внимание уделено образу Офелии, ее безумию и символическому раздариванию воображаемых цветов в Гамлете, трагическому звучанию “Песни ивы” Дездемоны в Отелло, а также сочетанию свадебных и погребальных мотивов в Ромео и Джульетте, где цветочные образы подчеркивают темы судьбы и трагедии. Исследование демонстрирует, что использование природных символов у Шекспира выходит за рамки декоративности и функционирует как культурный и лингвистический код, через который выражаются философские размышления о жизни и смерти. Полученные результаты углубляют понимание поэтики Шекспира, акцентируя взаимодействие символического языка, культурных традиций и повествовательной композиции. Работа служит теоретической основой для дальнейших научных исследований символики в английской литературе и предлагает методологический инструментарий для сравнительного анализа флористических мотивов в различных культурных контекстах. Таким образом, статья представляет собой как детальный текстуальный разбор, так и вклад в развитие литературной семиотики и культурной лингвистики.
