Экспертиза рубцов кожи была и остается одним из распространенных видов судебно-медицинского исследования, отличающегося высокой степенью субъективности. Поскольку рубцы кожи являются весьма устойчивыми образованиями, именно они чаще всего становятся объектом судебно-медицинского исследования в случаях позднего направления потерпевших на освидетельствование (экспертизу).
