The article presents the results of studies on the resistance to water deficit of promising varieties and lines of breed wheat in the laboratory on a high osmotic solution. Seed germination, number and length of roots, as well as coleoptile length were determined. Selected wheat samples were tested at the control nursery for three years. On the components of yield of selected lines having high yield than the check varieties “Zamin-1” and “Krasnodar-99”.
