The paper presents materials related to applying new local defoliant UzDEF with different rates in the 40 to 50 % 
boll opening period, it was investigated the impact of defoliant on the fall of leaves and boll maturity, the best results were obtained by applying the abovementioned defoliant in the rate of 6 to 7 l ha-1.
