The article presents the results of a research work on the influence of conventional fertilizer application and application of water-soluble fertilizers with drip irrigation on plant dry mass accumulation in the condition of meadow sierozem soils of Samarkand province of the central zone of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the experiment, two cotton varieties C-8286 and Bukhara-102 with different maturation period were studied. Fertilizers were applied using a conventional fertilizer application and water-soluble forms. Two different mineral fertilizer application rates N200 P140 K100 and N150 P105 K75 kg ha-1 were studied. The highest dry mass accumulation of cotton was observed in furrow irrigation by application of water soluble fertilizers with irrigation water when the total dry mass of C-8286 cotton equaled to 101.9-154.6 g, in Bukhara-102 cotton variety it was 121.1-180.5 g, the highest raw material of cotton was 51.54 g in C-8286 and 54.07 g in Bukhara-102 variety. Differences in the dry mass accumulation of the plant between varieties were studied and it was found that the Bukhara-102 cotton variety gained higher dry mass in comparison with early maturing cotton variety C-8286. This is explained by the fact that the biological characteristics of cotton varieties are different. In the condition of global climate change, it is recommended to apply water-soluble fertilizers with drip irrigation at the rate of N200 P140 K100 kg ha-1 in fractional doses 1 time during 3-4 true leaves phase, 2 times during squaring phase and 4 times during flowering and boll formation phase.
