Ипакчилик қишлоқ хўжалигининг муҳим соҳаларидан бири бўлиб, асрлар давомида бу соҳада пилла етиштиришнинг анъанавий технологиялари ишлаб чиқилган. Аммо бутун дунёда иқлим шароитининг глобал ўзгариши ва халқ хўжалигининг ривожланиши натижасида юзага келган айрим муаммолар ипак қурти парваришида янги усуллар ва бошқа озуқа манбалар яратишни тақозо этади. Тут ипак қуртини сунъий озуқа ёки бошқа ўсимликларга ўтказиш бўйича олиб борилган кўплаб изланишлар яхши самара бермади. Ушбу тадқиқотда тут ипак қуртини боқишда озуқа бўлмаган, яъни манзарали тут навларидан фойдаланиш имкониятлари ўрганилди. Тадқиқот давомида қуртларни боқиш эрта бошланганда, озуқа сифатида тутнинг декоратив навларидан фойдаланиш мумкинлиги исботланди. Шаҳар шароитида тутларнинг эрта вегетацияга кириши, декоратив тут барги яшил массасининг кўплиги ҳисобга олинса, уларда қуртлардан кичик ёшида озуқа сифатида фойдаланиш мумкинлигини кўрсатади.
