Ушбу мақолада Bombyx mori L ипак қурти ҳақидаги фундаментал билимларга асосланган тадқиқот ва ишланмалар ёритилган. Шунингдек, ипакчилик, пиллани қайта ишлаш ва ресурсларни тежашда қўлланиладиган биотехнологик ёндашувларнинг ривожланиши тадқиқ этилган. Тадқиқот ипак қурти учун сунъий озуқа таркибини ишлаб чиқиш, уни амалий қўллашнинг турли йўналишларини аниқлаш, жумладан, космосда тажрибалар ўтказишга бағишланган. Пиллачилик маҳсулотлари ва чиқиндиларининг ферментатив даражада нафас олиш, ҳазм қилиш ҳамда биотрансформация жараёнлари ўрганилган. Тут парвонасини Glyphodes pyloalis Wlk. бионазорат қилиш усуллари тадқиқ этилган. ИПМ тизимида ипак ишлаб чиқариш хомашёси ва чиқиндиларидан оқилона фойдаланиш, фиброин ва серицин ишлаб чиқариш, шунингдек, уларга асосланган композициялар ва ярим тайёр маҳсулотлар учун биотехнологик ёндашувлар ишлаб чиқилган. Фиброиннинг толалар ва композитлардаги таркибий ташкил этилиши ўрганилган. Тадқиқот натижасида танланган йўналишнинг жуда долзарб ва самарали эканлиги аниқланди. Уни янада ривожлантириш янги ипак маҳсулотларини юқори технологияли ихтисослаштирилган кластерларда чиқиндисиз, диверсификацияланган ва тежамкор ишлаб чиқаришга олиб келади.
