Maqolada shlak chiqindilarni bilan misning yo'qotilishini kamaytirish muammolari muhokama qilinadi. Eritishga fizik-kimyoviy ta'sir qilish usullarini qo'llash bilan muammoni kompleks hal qilish taklif etiladi. Ta'kidlanishicha, cho'ktirish jarayonining muvaffaqiyati oksidlangan mis birikmalarining sulfidlanishiga, shlakdagi magnetitning vyustitga qadar tiklanishiga va mayda shteyn tomchilarining birlashishi uchun sharoit yaratishga bog'liq. Ushbu sharoitlarning yaratilishi misning qoldiq konsentratsiyasini ruxsat etiladigan darajaga tushirishga imkon beradi. Bunda misli shteyn va missizlangan shlak olish mumkin. Misli shteyndan qimmatbaho komponentlarni ajratib olish maqsadida ularni eritish pechlariga quyish orqali qayta ishlanadi. Missizlanganshlak esa chiqindi mahsuloti bo'lib, qurilish sanoatida qo'llanilishi mumkin. Bu esa shlaklarni to’planib chiqindi uyumlarini hosil qilishidan asraydi.
