The article presents the results of research on the study of the silkiness and shine of wool fibers from the skins of Surkhandarya breed lambs. The study explores the quality and characteristics of wool fibers, including their texture and luster. Lambs with strong silky wool of amber color are 7.3-5.5% higher than amber (35.1±6.7) and platinum (34.2±7.9) than anthracite; average silkiness is higher than anthracite color (65.1±7.3), bronze (63.8±6.8), or this indicator for anthracite color is 9.2% higher than for amber, and 4.5% higher than for platinum. It was established that the shine of the coat at a strong and moderate level is characteristic of all colors, and it was the highest in amber color 97.3%, in bronze color 94.9%, in anthracite color 96.0% and in platinum color 93.2%. In comparison, amber outperformed other colors by 4.1% over platinum, 1.3% over anthracite, and 2.4% over bronze.
