Фармакоэпидемиология эпидемиологик методлардан фойдаланган ҳолда аҳоли ёки одамларнинг катта гуруҳлари даражасида реал шароитларда дори воситаларнинг самарадорлигини, хавфсизлигини ва улардан фойдаланишни ўрганадиган фан. Фармакоэпидемиологик тадқиқотлар натижалари энг самарали ва хавфсиз дори-дармонлардан оқилона ва арзон фойдаланишга ёрдам бериши керак.
