Tog‘ jinslarini burg‘ilab portlatish yo‘li bilan ajratib olish (maydalash) eng optimal usullardan hisoblanadi bunda portlovchi modda energiyasi uning zarba to‘lqini kuchi va skvajina devorlariga bo‘lgan bosimi tog‘ jinsining maydalanish darajasini belgilovchi asosiy omillardan sanaladi. Portlovchi modda va portlash jarayonini analitik ravishta o‘rganish uni chuqur talqin qilish yuqorida sanab o‘tilgan portlovchi moddaning fizik – mexanik xususiyatlarini yanada optimallashtirish usullarini yoki mavjud usullardan yanada kengroq va unumliroq foydalanishga yordam beradi. Ushbu holatda portlashda yuzaga keladigan to‘lqinlar va ularning ahamiyatini o‘rganish va kengroq tadbiq qilish muhum omillardan sanaladi. Portlash jarayoni fizik va kimyoviy jihatdan murakkab jarayon hisoblanadi, portlashda tog‘ jinslarini maydalovchi dinamik va termodinamik kuchlarning dastlab to‘lqinlar shaklida namoyon bo‘lishi so‘ngra esa bosim profillarini shakillantirgani sababli ularni o‘rganish portlash jarayonining asosiy mohiyati sanaladi.
