The digitalization of environmental governance is transforming how nations address ecological challenges through real-time data, automation, and citizen engagement. This study investigates the role of digital technologies in improving environmental governance in Uzbekistan. Using a qualitative case study method, the research analyzes official policies, digital monitoring platforms, and institutional frameworks established since 2018. Findings reveal a significant increase in digital environmental initiatives, such as GIS-based monitoring, online eco-portals, and AI-driven forecasting systems. These developments have enhanced transparency, data accuracy, and policy responsiveness. However, challenges persist, including technical capacity gaps, infrastructure disparities, and inter-agency data silos. The study concludes that while Uzbekistan is making notable progress, sustainable digital-environmental governance requires further investment in infrastructure, capacity-building, and intersectoral coordination.
