The article discusses one of the main areas of teaching students in speech development, which is learning to read an educational text, since it is the ability to understand the text that largely determines the success of learning. As a result, when learning to read text, students develop logical skills: the ability to determine the topic and main idea of information, the ability to structured perception of text information, and understanding the sequence of thought development.
