Мақолада ғўза чигитидаги госсипол миқдорлари ва шаклларининг ғўза тунлами (Helicoverpa armigera) билан зарарланиш даражасига таъсири генетик-селекцион жиҳатдан асослаб берилган, турли миқдордаги ва шаклдаги госсиполга эга нав-намуналар иштирокида олинган дурагайларда ғўза тунламига бардошлиликнинг шаклланиши, чигитида (+)-госсипол миқдори ҳамда нисбатан ғўза тунламига бардошлилиги турлича бўлган селекцион ашёларни яратиш мумкинлиги келтирилган. Паст миқдордаги (+)-госсиполли генотиплар маълум даражада юқори миқдордаги (+)-госсиполли дурагайларга нисбатан камроқ зарарланганлиги аниқланди.
