The article substantiates the need for development and defines the main content of the methodological approach to the formation and implementation of the strategy of diversifying regional agricultural production. The general concept of the strategy of diversifying agricultural production is presented. It proposes an algorithmic model for the formation and evaluation of the effectiveness of a diversification strategy.
