Background. The nitroza naphthols is one and from perspective classes of organic reagents (OR), successfully used in the inorganic analysis. Works of many scientists have proved indisputable advantage of application of these connections in practice of analytical chemistry. The problem is solved by chemists analysts introduction to practice of the analysis of the immobilized reagents and to purposeful syntheses of new selective organic reagents. Purpose. Development of express, high-selective and highly sensitive sorption and spectroscopic techniques of definition of iron with use of IMOR. Methodology. The spectroscopic method is one of quickly developing sorption spectroscopic methods of the analysis. In work also IK, PMR spectroscopy and kvanto-chemical calculations are used. Originality, is for the first time shown prospects of use of organic reagents on the basis of a nitrozonaftol for the immobilization which has allowed to increase significantly selectivity of definition of iron(II); I have allowed to mask the disturbing influence of foreign impurity. Findings. The organic reagents nitroso naphthol are immobilized in the first on polymeric carriers. An optimized condition is the sorption photometric determination of iron(II) 2-nitroso-5-methoxy phenol. Studies of complexation on a polymer sorbent are analogous to reactions in a solution. The developed technique is applied to the analysis of various waters containing iron(II). Highlights: - a new reagent 2-nitroso-5-methoxy phenol was synthesized; - nitrosis naphthol is immobilized in polymeric carriers.
