The history of the appearance of advertisements and announcements in the press system of Uzbekistan and their development tendencies were looked through in this article. The influence of advertisements and announcements to the development of press was illustrated in this article on the basis of definite facts. Press activity during the years 1870-2010 was investigated in the article.
