The article outlines two areas of treatment for pulmonary embolism (pulmonary embolism): conservative and surgical. PESI prognostic scales and others, as well as modern schemes of thrombolysis and anticoagulant therapy of pulmonary embolism are presented. Specific recommendations for practitioners on the management, emergency treatment and prevention of pulmonary embolism in the pre-hospital and hospital stages of the organization of the treatment process and observation are presented.
