Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease characterized by absolute or relative insulin deficiency with impaired carbohydrate metabolism and subsequent damage to all functional systems of the body. The main factors that determine the relevance of the problem are: the prevalence of diabetes, a steady increase in the incidence, late diagnosis of diabetes and its complications. There are more than 170 million patients with diabetes in the world. Every year the number of patients increases by 5-7%.
