Every year, cardiovascular morbidity increases due to an increase in the prevalence of not only cardiovascular risk factors, stressful and intense pace of life (chronic psychosocial stress), but also an increase in the proportion of the elderly population. The latter factor is also associated with an increase in the prevalence of comorbidity, the influence of which on clinical manifestations, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of diseases is multifaceted and individual. Comorbidity significantly changes the clinical picture and course of most diseases, the nature and severity of complications, worsens the patient's quality of life, limits or complicates the treatment and diagnostic process and significantly increases the cost of treatment
