Complications of acute diverticulitis of the colon are increasingly common in the practice of surgical emergency hospitals. Despite the high morbidity rate of the population, mainly the older generation, discussions about the optimal methods of surgical treatment continue. The purpose of the article is to review various methods of surgical treatment of this disease.
