BIOECOLOGICAL FEATURES AND PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF EPHEDRA SPECIES IN UZBEKISTAN

The article presents the features of biology and ecology, growth and development of types of Ephedra in various environmental conditions. Types of ephedra are perennial plants, the height of which reaches 1,5 m the distribution area covers mainly foothill and semi-desert, desert zones of Uzbekistan. The plant is often found in the low mountains, sometimes up to the middle belt of the mountains. In Uzbekistan, this plant is considered one of the best medicinal plants and in folk medicine it is widely used for the treatment of various diseases.
