The article analyzes the current problems in the formation of a reading culture among students of higher educational institutions. Some of the problems of the information and resource centers of the higher education institutions in reading culture were studied in detail and suggestions and recommendations on their solutions were given. It is emphasized that it is necessary to further improve the effectiveness of students’ educational work not only as a library student, but also as a book reader and researcher.
