The article describes the onomastic units, including anthroponyms, toponyms, ethnonyms, used in Mirzo Ulugbek's work "Tarikh-i arba ulus" ("The History of Four Nations"). The unique features of the historical onomastic lexicon preserved in this monument are revealed. Structural analysis of names, opinions on etymology are presented. In order to determine the level of use and statistics of onomastic units, the statistical method and the descriptive and etymological analysis method were used to put them into catalogs (cards) and systematize them. The conclusions drawn from the article are used to solve a number of problems that are urgent in the field today, in particular, to determine the ethnogenesis, etymology and lexical layers of many onomastic units whose content and meaning are considered to be in need of linguistic research, and to determine their nomination. It is important to compare the first form and ancient variants of onims, related phonetic and lexical processes with the onomastics of other period sources and draw scientific conclusions.
