ALTERNATING PARITY SPECTRA OF HEAVY EVEN-EVEN NUCLEI

Collective states of deformable even-even nuclei with quadrupole and octupole deformations are investigated in the framework of a non-adiabatic collective model. The energy levels of variable parity yrast-, the first non-yrast- and second non-yrast-bands of lanthanides 150Nd, 154Sm, 154Gd and actinides 228Th, 238U, 240Pu were studied. Potential energies of Gauss and harmonic oscillator for collective variables are used. Changes in the surface deformation of the nucleus during collective excitation are taken into account.
