A CREATIVE PERSON IN THE FEATURE DOCUMENTARY PROSE AND CONFLICT OF SYSTEM – STALINISM EPOCH

Stalinism is a frequent topic of documentary prose of the end of the 20th century. Generally, the authors didn’t touch this topic until the 1950s. In these years, the “father of nations” transforms into a "despot," and in the beginning of the 1980s this theme becomes urgent. The collapse of Stalinism is also a frequent topic in the creative works of emigrants, who had left the country after the fall of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in the early 1920s. A.Dagli’s “They are Turks”, A.Alpoud’s “Stories of my life” and others feature this theme. M.A. Rasulzadeh, the leader of ADR who personally met with Stalin, wrote about him in his memoirs. In diaries (Khalil Rza Uluturk’ “Diary books”, Abdullah Farug’s “Diary books”), memoirs (Anar’s “Life hurts”), essays (Anar’s “Night thoughts”), biographical novels (Anar’s “As Crimea”), autobiographical novels “Vidadi Babanli’ “Secrets”), modern authors discussed the tragic moments of Soviet life, and revealed the victims of Stalinist repression. This article studies the subject of Stalinism in documentary prose and focuses on the different approaches to Soviet and emigrant authors.
