The article analyzes the current state of enterprises of the metallurgical complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular JSC «Uzmetkombinat». At the same time, the issues of rational allocation of resources in the production activities of a metallurgical enterprise have been studied. A model of resource and economic activity of a metallurgical enterprise is presented, and the possibilities of using the «Cash cost» indicator, which reflects the unit cost of copper or zinc from primary raw materials (ore), are also considered and is intended primarily to compare the costs of metal extraction at different mines.
