Innovative development plays the greatest role in the socio-economic development of countries and regions. To assess the countries of the world and compare them by the level of innovation development, the Global Innovation Index and a number of other indices have been developed, which include data on human and financial resources spent on the development of innovation. This article examines the positions occupied by Uzbekistan in the Global Innovation Index and other rankings.
