ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The company "Pharmaxx International" Ltd. (Uzbekistan) has developed a biologically active additive (BAA) for food "DefiZinc", which includes vitamin C and micronutrient - zinc. This dietary supplement is studied for acute and chronic toxicity. The experiments of acute toxicity of dietary supplements "DefiZinc" showed no symptoms of intoxication in animals. There were no animal deaths when rats have got per os BAA "DefiZinc" at doses of 2500, 5000 and 7500 mg/kg. The "DefiZinc" dietary supplements were given to rats for 30 days at doses of 40, 400 and 800 mg/kg and at the end of the experiment hematological and biochemical blood indices of the rats of the experimental and intact group were compared. As a result, no statistically significant differences were found. Examined BAD "DefiZinc" in terms of toxicity, can be attributed to class 4 - low-toxic substances.
