This article proves the theorems that the sum of the squared distances from an arbitrary point in the plane and space to the opposite ends of an arbitrary rectangle is equal to the sum of the squared distances to the other two opposite ends of this rectangle. The article can be used to solve problems related to rectangles in geometry.
