The work presents a new method for controlling the evolving profile of cylindrical gears based on machine vision technologies and three-dimensional geometric data processing. The relevance of the research is explained by the need to eliminate the conflict between high measurement accuracy, speed, and cost in existing approaches (coordinate-measuring machines, optical and comparative methods). The aim of the study is to develop a convenient, sufficiently accurate, and automated control method that does not require specialized dental measuring equipment and reference CAD models.
