This article is about linguistic features of the speech genre “oath” in Eng-glish and Uzbek languages. The author tries to learn common and specific linguistic features of the speech genre “oath” in English and Uzbek lingocultures. Especially in the English and Uz-bek linguistics it is worthy of note that the oath style of the oral tradition is classifier – official, religious, and oral forms of oaths.
