КУЛЬТУРОЛОГИЧЕСКИЙ АСПЕКТ КАК ОСНОВА ФОРМИРОВАНИЯ ИНОЯЗЫЧНОЙ КУЛЬТУРЫ В ПРОЦЕССЕ ОБУЧЕНИЯ АНГЛИЙСКОМУ ЯЗЫКУ

In pedagogics, scholars are increasingly paying attention to the problems of education from the point of view of cultural studies. Not only does language education acquaint students with the native speakers and their country’s culture, but by means of comparative and contrastive studies it emphasizes certain features of the students’ ethnic culture and introduces universal values to them, thus assisting in their upbringing within the dialogue of cultures. In-volvement of cultural research components in teaching a foreign language is imperative for achieving the basic practical purpose – formation of the ability to speak a foreign language and communicate. Thus, to speak a foreign language in the true sense of the word means to master the sociocultural background and abilities.
