УПОТРЕБЛЕНИЕ ВЫНОСНЫХ БУКВ В ПОСОЛЬСКИХ КНИГАХ ПО СВЯЗЯМ РОССИИ С ХИВОЙ И БУХАРОЙ XVII в.

In the article there is considered shortening words in the Ambassadorial books belonging to the relations between Russia and Khiva Bukhara in the 17th century, together with the system of writing letters above line without using their tytlo marks or writing letters within the line using those marks in order not to waste time and to decrease paper expenses. The following peculiarities on it were analyzed on the basis of factual materials: a) the words, which were often used and often come across in texts, were shortened; b) there was no concrete ortho-graphical rules on using shortenings, in the opposite they were free according to their usage degree and written forms and it gave the opportunity of recording the speech in a short time and to read the text quickly.
