. In this article, some ideas were given about how lacunas appeared in dif-ferrent languages which is considered a linguistic unit without equivalents. Besides, it was shown that lacunas aree not only linguistic phenomana but also they are directly connected with culture. It was quoted that a person, who wants to learn some foreign language well, shoul cer-tainly be aware of the lacunas existing in that language.
