This article examines the moral and educational essence of the phenomenon of historical consciousness in the spiritual development of society and young people in the mo-dern world, its relationship with national identity. The necessity of educating young generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland and a sense of duty to the country and society for their fu--ture is revealed.
