Article describes randomized controlled trial with 6 weeks follow up of adults with chronic non-specific back pain. A total of 40 patients were selected, randomized into 2 groups: the control group and the study group. The control group received standard therapy, while the main group received serotonin reuptake inhibitor trazodone. After 6 weeks, it was found that there was a significant reduction in pain (VAS score) and a significant decrease in depression (Hamilton depression rating scale).
