On the mitochondria of pigeon tissues, the existence of various oxidation pathways was shown: uncoupled and coupled respiration with ATP synthesis. Uncoupled respiration is very intense in the MX of the internal organs, as well as the mitochondria of the pectoral and femoral muscles of the pigeons. Moreover, the substrates of noncoupled oxidation are partially succinate, as well as added NADH and ascorbate (+ cytochrome c). The data obtained indicate that the mechanisms uncoupled
