DEVELOPING ROLE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF ISS IN LEARNING PROCESS

The article discusses the study of the different methods of developing and tea-ching Independent Study Skills (ISS) for university students in EFL classes, which presents a cer-tain interest both for theoretical investigation and for practical usage. There is the full basis to approve that many scientists have brought the invaluable contribution to studying various pro-perties of teaching ISS for university learners. Moreover, it has created necessary theoretical preconditions for describing the methodology of teaching ISS in classes where English is taught as a foreign language.
