This article analyzes the linguistic and contextual nature of the phenomenon of oxymoron, which is a compound formed on the basis of semantic opposition, whose components negate each other and are often interpreted as unusual phrase in linguistics. At the same time, the article highlights the role of antisemic units in the formation of the phenomenon of oxymoron, discusses the wide possibilities of antisemic units in literary texts
