In this article the parental forms of cotton and resistance of F1-F3 hybrids to vilt disease (wilt) against natural field infestation by vilt fungus are determined. The experiments showed that the resistance of hybrids to wilt varies from generation to generation and that the resistance improves in subsequent generations using the individual selection method. It has been observed that the resistance to wilt disease in parental forms and hybrids obtained with their participation manifests itself depending on the genetic characteristics of the parental forms, the activity of the disease.
