This review presents a systematic analysis of the literature reflecting current approaches to the study of Hirschsprung's disease in children, as well as modern methods of diagnosis and therapy of this disease. The results of the analysis showed that the issues of the pathogenesis of Hirschsprung's disease have already been studied well enough and do not cause significant disagreement, while the implementation of the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques remains a complex and controversial task. Radicalone-stage operations using minimally invasive technologies are becoming increasingly popular in clinical practice. Progressive surgical approaches to the treatment of Hirschsprung's disease in newborns and young children can significantly reduce the mortality rate and improve long-term outcomes
