Raman scattering has long been utilized to analyze chemical compositions in biological systems. With its high chemical specificity and noninvasive detection capabilities, Raman scattering has seen significant use in cancer screening, diagnosis, and intraoperative surgical guidance over the past decade. To address the limitations of weak signals in spontaneous Ramanscattering, advancements such as coherent Raman scattering and surface-enhanced Raman scattering have been developed and applied in cancer research. This review highlights innovative applications of Raman scattering in cancer diagnosis and explores their potential for clinical adoption
