In this article the author spoke about the problems in the industrial production in 1991s and illustrated the factors affecting the light industry in Bukhara region. Also, the results of the opening of joint ventures, trade turnover and international trade have been analyzed on a numerical basis. The history of bankruptcy of some enterprises in the transition period has been illustrated.
