Mamlakat iqtisodiyotining strategik tarmogʻi sifatida turizmni jadal rivojlantirish, hududlarning ulkan turizm salohiyatidan toʻliq va samarali foydalanish, turizm sohasini boshqarishni tubdan takomillashtirish maqsadida, milliy turistik mahsulot va marshrutlarni yaratish va ularni jahon bozorlariga olib chiqish Oʻzbekistonning ijobiy imidjini shakllantirishda juda muhim oʻrin egallaydi. Ushbu maqolada turistik mahsulot va turistik marshrut tushunchalarining mazmun mohiyati chuqur oʻrganilib, bu ikki tushunchaga qiyosiy tahlil berildi.
