Regeneration of used engine oil is an urgent task of petro chemistry. The methods of processing and regeneration of motor oils are considered. Literary analysis has shown that the processing and regeneration of used motor oils is divided into physical, physiochemical, chemical and combined groups. Of these four groups, the best chemical and combined. A small theoretical analysis was carried out on the nuances of processing used motor oils. Theoretically, a small percentage of additives can be retained in the oil or its recycled product. The general scheme of waste oil regeneration processing is given. The process is carried out in special oil separators. To accelerate it, heat treatment can be used, that is, heating the liquid to about 85 - 90 degrees. Motor oil regeneration methods produce a product that is recyclable and practically does not differ in its characteristics from oil produced from crude oil. Methods for coarse and fine purification of used oils, such as multifunctional filtration, centrifugation, coagulation, adsorption purification, ion-exchange purification, selective regeneration, sulfuric acid purification and hydrogenation, are considered. Based on used oils, a method has been developed for obtaining a high-quality composite lubricant for the needs of agricultural machinery
