In this article, a physico-mathematical model of external forces related to reducing the static load of the body of workers and people who use video terminals or computer monitors in a sitting position is developed. Reducing the load on the muscles of the human musculoskeletal system associated with the position of the body allows users of video terminals or computer monitors to dramatically reduce the static load in a sitting position. Therefore, in order to bring the torso position that users of video terminals or computer monitors take for a long time, it is necessary to ensure the balance of the reaction forces of the biolink of the musculoskeletal system of the human body sitting on the chair and the reaction forces of the chair parts. Based on the developed models, a theoretical analysis was carried out, the equations of the equilibrium conditions of the forces in the physical model made it possible to create a mathematical model. By analyzing the created mathematical model, the minimum contraction force of the human musculoskeletal system, that is, the conditions of the muscles involved in maintaining the posture of workers and people during work during the sitting position, was determined. The conditions obtained on the basis of the specified mathematical model are used in the development of the model of the course layout, which allows to ensure the "neutral position" of the human body and calculate the values of the design parameters.
