The article analyzes the types of water wheels operating in flowing and lowpressure water sources. By solving the Navier-Stokes equation, the sources of running water, the generation of electricity using a water wheel in channels, and the characteristics of the speed of water flow in channels are investigated. Depending on the degree of immersion of the impeller blades in water, the energy values are theoretically calculated, i.e., the acting force, water pressure, moment of force and power shoulders, depending on the geometric dimensions and the number of impeller blades. The application of the water wheel and the analysis of theory and practical sources are presented. Particular attention is paid to the coverage of their technical aspects.
