In a market economy, the production potential of processing enterprises plays a decisive role not only in the viability of enterprises, but also in the effective functioning and competitiveness of production. The article is based on the fact that the assessment of the production potential of enterprises is one of the most important in terms of the effective development of production. The production potential is divided into four stages and each stage is described separately. The application of the developed methodology for a comprehensive assessment of the production potential of grain processing enterprises allows the leaders of the enterprise to comprehensively approach the assessment process. In the current economic environment, the assessment of the production potential of enterprises in the field of grain processing plays a crucial role not only in the viability of enterprises in the market, but also in the efficient operation and competitiveness of the entire industry. The article shows that the assessment of the production potential of enterprises in the field of grain processing is one of the most important ideas in terms of effective development of the industry. The proposed assessment methodology was tested on the example of grain processing enterprises in Namangan region.
